If you are reading my blog, chances are you’ve also seen my beautiful website. Anyone who knows me, also knows that I am only moderately computer savvy, at best. That being the case, I am not trying to fool anyone into thinking that I have built it myself. As luck would have it, I have many talented friends. All of my branding and website development has been graciously put together by my very good friend, Lyndsey, and her husband, Derek. I am so thrilled with how it all turned out and am ever grateful to the two of them for all of their hard work.
This particular session has been a long time coming. Well over six months has passed since Lyndsey first mentioned she’d like to get her extended family together for some family photos. Having just attempted to do it myself, I know just how hard it is to find time in everyone’s busy schedules. We managed to find a date and the weather turned out to be perfect. Fall is my favorite time for family portraits. I love everything about it. The rich colours, the foggy mornings, the early sunsets, sweaters, boots, scarves… you get the picture.
This family did not disappoint in the clothing department. They came beautifully dressed and so well coordinated – my hat is off, Kingstons. The session went great and they and were such good sports. These two adorable little ladies have been in front of my camera many times before. I consider the eldest, Emmelyn, to be a veteran. She is such a good listener. As far as her little sister, Millie, is concerned, I think it’s tough to get her to sit still for anything these days. There was much silliness happening behind me while trying to make this one smile on command. You really do what you gotta do with an almost two year old.
Thanks for squeezing me in, Kingston family. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.
