A Beautiful Set of Babies

My journey as a photographer has been personal and progressive.  I have been fortunate enough to have generous friends in the business. One in particular is my friend Kim Morris at KLM photography. As I was just getting my feet wet in the industry she took me under her wing and helped give me the confidence to peruse my passion. As I developed my own style she encouraged me and helped my find my own wings. I continue to learn technique from Kim and was recently afforded the opportunity to share some of my expertise with her. We all have our comfort zones. Where Kim has focused on wedding and event photography I have gotten into the baby game.

October is traditionally a photographers busiest month, but when Kim called I did not hesitate to clear some room in my calendar. What kind of baby photographer would I be if I turned down an opportunity to photograph twins? I was happy to share my experience, my studio and my props with someone who has so generously shared her expertise with me. Fresh eyes in the studio lends itself to a new perspective. Kim gets a thrill out of finding and using light and she certainly shone on light on some new angles and possibilities for me. I’m so excited to see the final results of this collaboration.
