I come from a large and close knit family. I cannot explain how fortunate I feel to be able to call my cousins some of my nearest and dearest friends. Things certainly have changed since our regular Sunday suppers and however strange it may feel, every one of us has now graduated from the kids table. Is it possible? Are we really the grown ups? These days it seems far too much time passes between our cousin reunions. Lets face it, life is busy. That being said, I love that all of our paths have taken us in such different directions. Watching each of their lives unfold so beautifully from a far has become one of my most favourite things. Though distance and timing may be working against us, I find much comfort in knowing that our shared history, love for one another, and common sense of humour will always brings us back together.
This brings us to my childhood bestie, Cara. Mi Hermosa Preciousa. This past year has been a wildly eventful one for this handsome couple. Just shy of a year ago we were all in the throes of celebrating their happy marriage. Now here we are, poised to welcome their first baby. Seems everything is falling into place just as it should. I could not be happier.
Anyone who knows us also knows that in this family, boys are a rarity, and so it is with much anticipation and excitement that we await the arrival of Baby Boy Carey. Bring on the Tonka toys!
