These days I have found myself branching out of my comfort zone more and more. Wedding are a scary venture for me. A day full of fleeting moments with no possibility to recreate or reschedule due to weather. The stakes are high and a gambler I am not.
It seems to me Caitlin and Jake were perfectly prepared were for their big day. There were no jitters only jesting. No nerves only nuance. The instant I arrived at the Benyon house the tone for my day was set. I came in expecting the usual flurry only to find a bride and her maids having a leisurely breakfast. The day went off like clock work. From first glances to first dances their itinerary was right on cue.
I love an intimate wedding. The bride and groom surrounded by their nearest and dearest lends to an air of informality in an very formal day.
From corsages to cookies the sweet hand of the bride was evident in the smallest of details. This couple had obviously put a lot of effort into the making of a wedding that appeared effortless.
I find the prospect of photographing a wedding both terrifying and exciting. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to KLM Photography for not only being everywhere that I couldn’t be but also for her guidance. Kim helped give me the confidence to follow a vision of my own. But mostly thank you to Caitlin and Jake for allowing me to share in your excitement, capture your moments and participate in your special day.
