Sheena and the Boys

Ahhhhh… The great outdoors – oh how I have missed you! Don’t get me wrong – I’m loving the consistency and warmth that my studio can offer, however this is truly where my heart is. A little space, a little sun and a lot of mud appeared to be the theme for our morning session. As expected, Sheena, a seasoned mother of two young boys, was totally unphased  by our muddy surroundings. She arrived at our session with an assortment of shoes and costume changes. I applaud her preparedness.

Having worked with Sheena and her boys before, I knew I was in for a good time. These little guys are so fun and high energy. Getting laughs out of them was by far the easiest part. Sheena’s parenting style is absolutely refreshing. Her ability to make everything a non issue truly boggles my mind. She is relaxed, easy going and yet totally in control. I cannot say enough good things. Her boys are lovely.

Photographing mothers with their young children is one of my most favourite things. I truly believe being a mother is the greatest gift. I simply love when I am able to capture a real connection between a mother and child. Sheena is doing an amazing job with these little boys. I cannot be more pleased with the outcome of our session. I really feel like their happiness and love for each other radiates through everyone of these photographs. I feel so privileged that I was able to be a part of how they will remember this moment in time.
