Mason is ONE

I feel I have nearly perfected the recipe for an amazing cake smash. But, like all cooks, my results vary from time to time; once in a while the ingredients come together and results become exceptional. Such was the case with this particular session. Mason is a beautiful baby no question. Responsive, bright, and funny: a perfect subject.

Typically, cake smash fun is measured in mess – the messier the merrier… until it’s not. Every subject has its limit, and when Mason reached his, I loved that Michelle did not hesitate to pick up a sticky baby. I really think it speaks volumes. At the end of our session, as I continued to play with Mason – and Michelle scrubbed the blue icing off her neck – I couldn’t help but think that this little guy has it made.
