As I’m sure any parent will attest to, I think it’s pretty safe to say that the majority of our parenting careers do not happen according to plan. Bringing home a new baby is a whirlwind. Personally, I feel we should introduce a new time zone – Baby Central Time. Hours slip by, days and nights meld into each other, and weeks disappear.
When Bianca contacted me about booking a session, little Ella had already hit her one month milestone. As a parent, I fully appreciate this new time zone; however, as a photographer, it presents its own challenges. Ideally, I like to schedule newborn sessions within the first 5-7 days after birth since sleepy and full is our objective when attempting pose and position a newborn. Ella, as I expected, was up and ready to party for almost the entire time, with arms and legs everywhere! She is a beautiful, smiley and content little lady, and we had such a wonderful time!
