Meet My Friend, Bennett

I met Kate 3 and half years ago. Both new moms we became fast friends. Everything about being Kate’s friend is effortless. She’s the kind of friend that will tell you like it is, provide you will much needed caffeine following a sleepless night, and not bat an eye if your kids are still in their pajamas when dinner time rolls around (we have all had those days). She is one of my greatest support systems and she has encouraged me in my photography venture to no end. I am so grateful to have her.

As small world would have it our husbands have many mutual friends. Thus making friendship even easier. Currently Kate and I run together, our kids have art class together, we have regular family pizza nights and our husbands are playing hockey together as I write this. Our lives have become totally intertwined. It only seems fitting that our children be betrothed to one another. What do you think, Kate?

Layne and Henry are two peas in a pod. They often play “getting married”. Blake and Bennett are scarily alike. Those second children… look out! I have become so attached to Kate’s little boys that her going back to work has been harder on me that anyone. Well, maybe that’s slightly dramatic, but I’m pretty upset. I have so enjoyed watching these kids grow and getting to know their personalities. I love these little guys so much.

Recently the Scramstad Family celebrated Bennett’s first birthday. His mother might say otherwise, but from my perspective he has danced and smiled the whole way through his first year. I want to wish the Happiest of Birthday’s to this sweet, loving, funny, snuggly, handsome little force to be reckoned with.

Here’s to many more adventures, little man!
